The Australian pop/rock project OCIANIC was formed by brothers Aaron and Russell Hendra and guitarist Ben Carey. After a decade of paying their dues, moving across the globe and digging there heals into LA's tough music landscape they have emerged to deliver a powerful collection of songs simply titled "U".

First a little history....

The Los Angeles based group originated in Melbourne, Australia. Brothers Aaron and Russell grew up playing music together and met Ben in a guitar shop almost a decade ago. They soon began writing and jamming and dreaming of having a band together that would eventually play stadiums and tour the world. As they say, "Be careful what you dream", it may just come true. The members enjoyed individual success over the years, Aaron writing songs for multi-platinum artists such as John Farnham, and Ben being the hired gun guitarist for superstar bands and artists such as Savage Garden, Tal Bachman and Lifehouse.

In 2000 the band moved to Los Angeles after signing a deal with Hollywood Records. Unsatisfied with the support, the band left the label and have continued to slowly but surely, pay their dues and develop their craft. OCIANIC have built a loyal following both locally and worldwide and continue to gather supporters and believers.

Aaron Hendra CD in works

Writing and pre-production of material for a new solo CD is underway with LA based producer William Tabanou. The CD, comprising all new songs, is hoped to be available in late '05.

Aaron also was selected among the top 50 finalists in a global search for the most talented singers in the world to take part in a new reality series created by Mark Burnett and INXS. The final 14 selected will live in a Hollywood Hills Mansion together and take part in challenges and live performance concerts. One contestant will be eliminated each week and the eventual winner becomes the new lead singer of INXS. During the top secret auditions Aaron performed with a live band in front of INXS, Mark Burnett, CBS senior television executives and an audience of guest celebrities including Dave Navarro. Aaron had the opportunity to perform 'U' with the band and greatly impressed the members of INXS with his songwriting ability. The shows producers are in the final stages of choosing the 14 contestants that will take part in the series.

Ben Carey recently performed with the multi-platinum band 'LIFEHOUSE' on 'Live with Regis and Kelly'... The band have just released their latest single and are busy promoting their new record set for release in May. They have more scheduled performances coming up on other major US national T.V. shows.
